Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 24 large button mushrooms stems removed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for sautéing
For the Filling
  • 1 cup cooked crab meat
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For Topping
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated for topping
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Mushrooms
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove the stems.
Make the Filling
  1. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked crab meat, cream cheese, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, sautéed garlic, chopped parsley, lemon juice, and black pepper.
  4. Mix until well combined.
Stuff the Mushrooms
  1. Using a spoon, fill each mushroom cap with the crab filling, pressing gently to pack it in.
Bake the Mushrooms
  1. Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet and sprinkle the tops with additional parmesan cheese.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.
Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  2. Garnish with additional chopped parsley before serving.

Notes
