Chocolate Chip Muffins

Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
For the Topping
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

Prepare the Muffin Batter
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the sugar, melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently fold together until just combined.
  5. Carefully fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Bake the Muffins
  1. Scoop the muffin batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  2. Sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top of each muffin for garnish.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  4. Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
