Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh river prawns
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add river prawns and coat well. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F/200°C).
  4. Optionally skewer the prawns for easier grilling.
  5. Grill prawns for 3-4 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  6. Remove from grill and squeeze fresh lemon juice over them before serving.
