Description

Spicy Shrimp & Avocado Phyllo Cups are an irresistible appetizer featuring crispy phyllo, succulent shrimp, and creamy avocado. Perfect for impressing guests at any gathering!


Ingredients

  • 8 sheets phyllo dough
  • 1 lb large peeled shrimp
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lay out phyllo sheets and cover with a damp cloth.
  2. Cut phyllo into squares. Press two squares into muffin tins to form cups.
  3. Brush phyllo cups with olive oil and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  4. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant, then add shrimp with chili powder and cumin. Cook until shrimp turn pink (about 3-4 minutes).
  5. In a bowl, mash avocados with lemon juice and cilantro; season with salt.
  6. Assemble by spooning avocado mixture into baked phyllo cups and topping with sautéed shrimp. Serve warm.
