Description

This vibrant Cajun Sausage Pasta is a deliciously creamy and spicy one-pot meal that’s perfect for busy weeknights. Packed with flavor, it’s sure to please the whole family.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz Cajun sausage, sliced
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 cup bell peppers, chopped (assorted colors)
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by chopping bell peppers and onion, and mincing garlic.
  2. In a large pan over medium heat, sauté sliced Cajun sausage until browned.
  3. Add the diced onions and bell peppers; cook until softened (about 5 minutes).
  4. Stir in minced garlic and Cajun seasoning; cook for an additional minute.
  5. Add uncooked penne pasta along with 4 cups of water or broth; bring to a boil and simmer until pasta is al dente (about 10 minutes).
  6. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with extra cheese if desired.
