- 12 oz Cajun sausage, sliced
- 8 oz penne pasta
- 1 cup bell peppers, chopped (assorted colors)
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients by chopping bell peppers and onion, and mincing garlic.
- In a large pan over medium heat, sauté sliced Cajun sausage until browned.
- Add the diced onions and bell peppers; cook until softened (about 5 minutes).
- Stir in minced garlic and Cajun seasoning; cook for an additional minute.
- Add uncooked penne pasta along with 4 cups of water or broth; bring to a boil and simmer until pasta is al dente (about 10 minutes).
- Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra cheese if desired.
