- 1 lb 80/20 ground beef
- 2 tbsp taco seasoning
- 8 small flour or corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup diced red onion
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- Salsa or hot sauce to taste
Instructions
- Chop lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and avocado. Warm tortillas in a pan over low heat.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat if needed.
- Sprinkle taco seasoning over the cooked beef, stir well. Add approximately 1/4 cup water and cook until thickened (3-5 minutes).
- Lay warm tortillas flat on plates. Spoon seasoned beef onto each tortilla and top with cheese.
- Pile on lettuce, tomatoes, onions, avocado slices, sour cream (or Greek yogurt), and salsa as desired.
- Serve immediately while warm.
