- 1.5 lbs flank steak
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried oregano
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from the flank steak.
- In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, garlic, brown sugar, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, and black pepper until well combined.
- Place the flank steak in a zip-top bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Seal tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 450°F). Remove the steak from the marinade and allow excess liquid to drip off.
- Grill each side for about 5-7 minutes until desired doneness is reached (medium-rare is approximately 135°F internally).
- Let the steak rest for about 10 minutes under loosely covered foil before slicing against the grain into thin strips.
