Instructions

  1. Find a clean and fluffy patch of fresh snow outside.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine maple syrup and butter. Stir continuously until boiling and the mixture reaches 235°F (113°C).
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Drizzle the hot syrup mixture over the snow in long strands.
  5. Allow to cool for about 5 minutes, then use clean hands to pull and stretch the taffy until soft and pliable.
