- 2 cups masa harina
- 1 cup chicken broth (or water)

- 10–12 soaked corn husks
Instructions
- Soak corn husks in warm water for about 30 minutes until pliable.
- In a large bowl, mix masa harina, baking powder, salt, and vegetable oil or lard. Gradually add chicken broth until the dough is smooth and holds together.
- In another bowl, combine fresh corn kernels with a pinch of salt; blend for creaminess if desired.
- Spread about ¼ cup masa dough on each soaked corn husk. Place a spoonful of corn filling in the center, fold sides over tightly, then roll from the bottom.
- Arrange tamales upright in a steamer pot filled with water (not touching). Cover with leftover husks and steam for 1-1.5 hours until firm.
