  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (chilled, cubed)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (sliced)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in chilled butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Reserve 1 cup of the crumb mixture and press the rest into the bottom of the baking dish.
