  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Korean chili powder (gochugaru)
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts between plastic wrap and pound to about ½ inch thick.
  2. Set up a breading station: one bowl with flour seasoned with salt and pepper, another with beaten eggs, and a third with panko breadcrumbs mixed with gochugaru.
  3. Dredge each chicken piece in flour, dip in egg, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  5. Fry the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (165°F internal temperature).
