  • 3 tbsp white miso paste
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped chives or green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat scallops dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add a splash of oil and cook scallops for 2-3 minutes until golden brown on one side.
  3. Flip the scallops gently and cook for another 2-3 minutes until opaque throughout. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to low and add butter and minced garlic. Cook until fragrant.
  5. Stir in miso paste and lemon juice until combined.
  6. Plate the scallops, drizzle with miso butter sauce, and garnish with chives or green onions. Serve immediately.
