  • 1/4 cup miso paste (white or yellow)
  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter and miso until fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time followed by the milk until smooth.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients into wet mixture; fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Fill each liner two-thirds full and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool completely before frosting.
