Instructions

  1. Soak the glutinous rice in water overnight.
  2. Drain and steam the rice in a bamboo steamer lined with cheesecloth for 20-25 minutes until tender.
  3. In a saucepan over low heat, combine coconut milk, sugar, and salt, stirring until dissolved (about 5 minutes).
  4. Mix two-thirds of the coconut sauce into the warm sticky rice and let sit for 15 minutes.
  5. Serve the sticky rice topped with sliced mangoes, drizzling remaining coconut sauce over everything.
