  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (vinegar-based recommended)
  • 1/2 cup raw honey
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil (canola or peanut) for frying
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper to create the coating mixture.
  3. Dredge each chicken breast in the coating mixture, shaking off excess flour.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  6. While chicken fries, melt butter and mix with honey, hot sauce, garlic powder, and lemon juice for the glaze.
