  • 4 oz Gruyère or cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface until about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Cut the pastry into triangles approximately 4 inches wide at the base.
  4. Place one slice of ham and a generous amount of cheese on the widest end of each triangle.
  5. Roll each triangle tightly from the wide end to the pointy end, tucking in the sides as you go.
  6. Beat the egg and brush it over each croissant.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
