Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices soft white or whole wheat bread
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar (or brown sugar)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese or Nutella for filling

Instructions

  1. Trim crusts off each slice of bread.
  2. In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, and cinnamon until smooth.
  3. Spread desired filling over each slice of bread and roll tightly from one edge to the other.
  4. Quickly dip each roll-up in the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off.
  5. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Place roll-ups seam side down and cook until golden brown on all sides (about 2 minutes per side).
