  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar (light)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (cold, cubed)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 3 medium Granny Smith apples (peeled and sliced)
  • ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, oats, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly with some pea-sized pieces remaining.
  4. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish to form a crust.
  5. Toss sliced apples with cinnamon and lemon juice; drizzle half of the caramel over them before spreading evenly on the crust.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining crumble topping over the apples and drizzle with any remaining caramel.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
