- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar (light)
- ½ cup unsalted butter (cold, cubed)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp salt
- 3 medium Granny Smith apples (peeled and sliced)
- ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, oats, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter until crumbly with some pea-sized pieces remaining.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish to form a crust.
- Toss sliced apples with cinnamon and lemon juice; drizzle half of the caramel over them before spreading evenly on the crust.
- Sprinkle the remaining crumble topping over the apples and drizzle with any remaining caramel.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
