  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 4 scallions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 2 cups chicken stock

Instructions

  2. In a large Dutch oven over medium heat, add oil and sear the pork belly until golden brown on all sides (about 4 minutes per side).
  3. Add minced ginger, garlic, and star anise. Sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
