Description

Ingredients

  • 8 oz brioche bread, torn into pieces
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine torn brioche pieces.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Pour over the brioche and fold in blueberries. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, whisk together milk and flour until thickened (about 5 minutes). Remove from heat and fold in remaining blueberries.
  4. Grease a baking dish. Layer half of the brioche mixture in the dish, followed by half of the custard; repeat layers.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and set in the middle. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
