Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix the berries with 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, remaining granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add softened butter and vanilla until crumbly.
  4. Press two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of the dish. Pour the berry mixture evenly over this base.
  5. Crumble the remaining mixture on top of the berries.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown. Let cool before slicing.
