  • 1/2 cup black bean sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 cup bell peppers, chopped (mixed colors)
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Slice flank steak into thin strips. Mince garlic and ginger, chop bell peppers, and slice onion.
  2. In a bowl, combine sliced beef with soy sauce and cornstarch mixture. Marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Sauté onion, garlic, ginger, and bell peppers until fragrant (about 3 minutes).
  4. Push veggies aside and add marinated beef to the skillet. Stir-fry until browned (about 4 minutes).
  5. Add black bean sauce to the skillet; stir well and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve hot over rice or noodles, drizzling any leftover sauce on top.
