  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: In a bowl, mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add warm milk, melted butter, and eggs; stir until combined.
  2. Knead the dough: On a floured surface, knead for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Let it rise: Place in an oiled bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  4. Make the filling: In a bowl, combine diced apples with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Roll out the dough: Punch down the risen dough and roll it into a rectangle. Spread melted butter over it and sprinkle the apple mixture on top.
  6. Twist the babka: Roll the rectangle tightly into a log shape. Cut lengthwise to expose layers; twist together and place in a greased loaf pan.
