  • 4 bone-in pork chops (1-inch thick)
  • 2 medium sweet apples (Fuji or Honeycrisp), peeled and diced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chops for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  2. Remove chops from skillet; add diced onions and sauté until softened (3-4 minutes).
  3. Stir in diced apples, brown sugar, cider vinegar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Simmer on low for 10-15 minutes until chutney thickens.
  4. Return pork chops to the skillet, spoon chutney over them, and cook together for an additional few minutes.
  5. Serve hot with extra chutney on top.
