  • 4 oz high-quality dark or milk chocolate bars or chips
  • 1 egg + 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut each sheet into triangles approximately 6 inches wide at the base.
  3. Place one or two pieces of chocolate at the wide end of each triangle. Optional: add chopped nuts or dried fruit for extra texture.
  4. Starting from the wide end, gently roll up each triangle towards the pointy end to form tight rolls.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together one egg with one tablespoon of water to create the egg wash. Brush this over each rolled croissant.
