- 6 cups brioche or challah, torn into chunks
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup toasted hazelnuts, roughly chopped
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until smooth.
- Layer torn bread in the baking dish, sprinkling half the chocolate chips and hazelnuts over the top.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread. Gently press down to help soak.
- Top with remaining chocolate chips and hazelnuts. Add extra cinnamon if desired.
