  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (oregano & basil)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the jumbo pasta shells in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente (about 9-11 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks. Stir in garlic powder and Italian herbs.
  3. Mix half of the marinara sauce into the cooked beef, ensuring a saucy consistency.
  4. Generously fill each pasta shell with the beef mixture.
  5. Spread remaining marinara sauce in a baking dish and place stuffed shells in a single layer on top. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes, then remove foil to bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
