- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic in a skillet over medium heat until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, sautéed vegetables, bread crumbs, eggs, salt, pepper, ketchup, and half of the balsamic vinegar until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf on a lined baking sheet or in a loaf pan.
- Brush the top with the remaining balsamic vinegar.
- Bake for about 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
