  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic in a skillet over medium heat until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, sautéed vegetables, bread crumbs, eggs, salt, pepper, ketchup, and half of the balsamic vinegar until well combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf on a lined baking sheet or in a loaf pan.
  5. Brush the top with the remaining balsamic vinegar.
  6. Bake for about 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
