Description

This creamy, flavorful dip is a breeze to prepare and perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 1 large lemon)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 34 tbsp water or aquafaba

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients on the counter for easy access.
  2. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, salt, and olive oil. Blend until smooth.
  3. Gradually add water or aquafaba while blending until you achieve a creamy consistency.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed; blend briefly to mix.
  5. Transfer hummus to a serving bowl, create swirls with a spoon, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle paprika if desired.
  6. Serve with pita chips or fresh veggies.
