  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut into 1-inch cubes and pat dry.
  2. Coat each cube in cornstarch.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Fry the tofu cubes in a single layer for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar.
  6. Pour the sauce over the crispy tofu in the skillet and stir gently; cook for an additional minute until slightly thickened.
