  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Cook fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  2. In the last two minutes of cooking the pasta, add broccoli florets. Drain together and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute). Add shrimp and cook until pink (3-4 minutes).
  4. Pour in heavy cream, adding Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until smooth and let thicken (about 5 minutes).
  5. Combine drained pasta and broccoli with sauce in the skillet, tossing gently to coat. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
  6. Serve hot with extra Parmesan on top.
