  3. Pour in the vegetable broth while scraping the bottom of the pot for flavor. Bring to a gentle simmer and return the chicken to the pot.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, milk, salt, and pepper to form a soft dough.
  5. Spoon dollops of dumpling dough over the simmering broth mixture. Cover tightly and cook on low for about 15 minutes without lifting the lid.
